Wheat Ridge offers a variety of grant programs to enable inspired leaders to make an impact in their community through new and innovative health and human care projects. We currently support over 70 programs in 22 states and 7 countries!
Burst Project Grants are one-time grants of up to $5,000 for a human care ministry project designed and led by young adult leaders in the Lutheran community. This grant application has a rolling deadline with grants awarded quarterly.
Congregation Health Ministry Grants enable ministry leaders to move inspired whole person health and wellness ideas into action within congregations through $2,000 matching grants. These one-year grants for new and innovative health ministry programs are open to Lutheran congregations committed to becoming centers of health and hope in their community. The application deadline is April 16, 2013.
The GrantsPlus Program funds new health and human care ministries sponsored by congregations, agencies and emerging nonprofit organizations. Grant awards range from $5,000 to $50,000 over one to three years. Grant recipients will participate in capacity building opportunities to strengthen their program and organization. The initial proposal deadline is July 15, 2013.
Joshua Grants are available to congregations within the Thrivent Chicagoland Region for programs that courageously serve a need in the local community. Funded in partnership with the Chicagoland Region of Thrivent Financial for Lutherans, this program will award grants of up to $10,000 over two years. The application deadline is June 3, 2013.
