Wheat Ridge Awards its First Burst Project Grants

Wheat Ridge Ministries recently awarded two grants through the new Burst Project Grant Program totaling $8,841. Burst Project grants are one-time grants for a human care ministry project designed and led by young adult leaders in the Lutheran community. Learn more

 

They’ve Got a Garden Growing Where?

Like most children her age, 4-year-old Lily Samuelson loves to play in the sandbox and dig into the dirt to search for new seedlings in her garden. But, unlike most, Samuelson’s playground is 75 feet above the ground—on top of Trinity Lutheran College’s parking garage. Bethlehem Dance Troupe Touring the Midwest

Wheat Ridge is pleased to share news of a very special Bright Stars of Bethlehem experience coming up in early May. “Room for Hope,” a Diyar Dance Theater production, will be touring in four Midwest locations. The Diyar Dance Theater is a volunteer, Palestinian, co-ed youth dance troupe that is comprised of 60 talented and committed dancers. Learn more. Wheat Ridge is a significant encourager of the ministries of Bright Stars of Bethlehem and provided seed grants for the initial development of the Dar al Kalima Academy and Health and Wellness Center.

Underage drinking is the nation’s largest youth drug problem, killing 6.5 times more young people than all other illicit drugs combined.
