Wheat Ridge and Thrivent Financial Award $34,000 in Joshua Grants 

Wheat Ridge Ministries, in collaboration with the Thrivent Financial for Lutherans Chicagoland Regional Office, recently awarded four grants from the Joshua Grant Program totaling $34,000. The Joshua Grant Program provides start-up funding and resources to Lutheran congregations beginning new, bold and courageous ministries in their community. Read more

Christ Cares Clinic Provides Affordable Christ-Centered Healthcare for Those in Need 

The nation’s challenging economy has made it difficult for many who have lost jobs or who have been affected in other ways to meet basic needs, such as health care. The congregation of Christ Church – Lutheran, in Phoenix, Arizona, has responded to this need by establishing a free-standing clinic that provides Christ-centered health care to the uninsured and underinsured within the community. Calling All Walther Leaguers!

The Walther League, a youth organization of The Lutheran Church – Missouri Synod and strong supporter of the work of Wheat Ridge Ministries, will be hosting its 28th annual Walther League and Lutheran Young Adult Reunion on September 29, 2012, in Frankenmuth, Michigan. Learn more
