Lutherans Against Violence Grants

“As shoes for your feet put on whatever will make you ready to proclaim the gospel of peace.” Ephesians 6:15 (NRSV)

The Lutherans Against Violence Grant Program was a pilot initiative to assist Chicagoland congregations in implementing violence prevention programs in their local community. The program is funded in partnership with the Northern Illinois District of The Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod, and the Metropolitan Chicago Synod of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America.

The two-year, $5,000 grants were awarded in the fall of 2009. We are no longer accepting applications.
