Wheat Ridge seeks out and responds to new ministries of health and hope through its granting, connecting and equipping functions. Granting Wheat Ridge supports over 70 new health-related ministries each year through a variety of seed money grant programs. Seed money grants, provided for a maximum of three years, assist with expenses related to starting a new health ministry. Projects range from assistance for abused children to support of ministries for older persons to mentoring of immigrants and refugees. Through staff, staff associates and a national network of area representatives, Wheat Ridge regularly brings together people from a variety of disciplines to discuss various topics and issues related to health ministry. Equipping Wheat Ridge arranges, often in partnership with other organizations, workshops and training events related to current and emerging health ministry issues.
