Major Grants

Major grants, ranging from $5,000 to $50,000 total are awarded to health-related ministries sponsored by congregations or agencies. These grants are distributed over a one, two or three-year period, in declining amounts (i.e., $25,000 year one; $15,000 year two; $10,000 year three.)  Deadlines for major grant concept papers are December 15 and June 15.  If you are interested in submitting a proposal, please click here.

Major Grants Initiatives

  • Care and Development of Church Leaders
    Helping pastors and other church workers stay healthy in the midst of the increasing pressures and complexities of congregation ministry.
  • Community Service Ministries
    Impacting the health of people who are at-risk in urban centers and rural communities by addressing issues such as poverty, education, housing and community development.
  • Generational Ministries
    Addressing the needs of people at critical stages in life and building community among people of different generations for mutual care.
  • Health and Wellness Ministries
    Supporting congregations and agencies as they capture the vision of the church as a community of health and healing.
  • Global Health and Service Ministries
    Helping God’s people respond to the health and healing needs of people in countries around the world.
  • Peace and Justice Issues
    Helping congregations and agencies work together to build communities that build peace, respect and harmony among people.
