The Ministry Sabbatical Grant Program promotes a sabbatical leave for rest and renewal to support the whole person health of the ministry leader and the congregation. Matching grants of up to $7,500 will be awarded to Lutheran congregations and clergy who are planning their first sabbatical experience. Funds may be used to cover salary and benefits for additional staff, expenses related to the work of an interim staff member, and travel or education expenses for the sabbatical experience. Application packets for the Ministry Sabbatical Grant Programs are now available. Proposals will be due January 15, 2011 with funds to be distributed by March 1, 2011. Please consult the Wheat Ridge Ministries Grant Guidelines in addition to the packet materials as you prepare your proposal.
