Interfaith Health Partnership Institute Grants

Thanks to a special matching grant provided by Thrivent Financial for Lutherans, Wheat Ridge Ministries is able to offer financial assistance to a limited number of teams who qualify for attendance at the Institute for Public Health and Faith Collaborations

The first Institute of 2007 took place in April.  Dates for the next IHP Institute are pending.  Click here for a brief overview of the program and details.  Information about the Institute, including eligibility requirements and application forms, is available at the Institute for Public Health and Faith Collaborations.

Priority for receiving financial assistance from Wheat Ridge Ministries will be given to teams that include at least one person who attended Wheat Ridge Ministries' "Living Well!" Symposium in 2005.  Funding assistance is available to cover 75% of the cost of tuition and fees for a limited number of teams to attend one of these special week-long training experiences.

Here are the steps to follow to pursue this opportunity:

  1. Carefully read the information provided by the Interfaith Health Program regarding the Institute for Public Health and Faith Collaborations.  For any additional questions regarding the Institute, contact the Interfaith Health Program at Emory University  (404.727.5246).

  2. If your team meets the eligibility requirements described for the Institute:

       a. Contact Brian Becker, Vice President for Ministry Programs (800.762.6748) or brian@wheatridge.org to discuss your team's eligibility for financial support;

       b. Submit an application to the Interfaith Health Program following the application procedures they provide.

  3. If your team is accepted for Institute participation, complete and return the Wheat Ridge grant application form for financial assistance.
