Proposal Process

Major Grant Proposal Process

  1. Create a new ministry plan. Develop a realistic, feasible, and accurate plan for a new ministry of health and hope that addresses a specific health-related need in the congregation, community, or target population.

  2. Check Grant Guidelines. Determine whether the project plan and the sponsoring organization meet the requirements detailed in the General Grant Proposal Guidelines. For clarification or other questions related to whether the project is consistent with the guidelines, contact the Wheat Ridge Ministries office by email to grants@wheatridge.org.

  3. Submit a Concept Paper. If the project is consistent with Wheat Ridge Ministries’ grant proposal guidelines, submit a brief concept paper by the deadlines in the schedule below. Follow the format as described in the Major Grant Concept Paper Packet. A Sample Concept Paper is available.

  4. Review of Concept Papers. The Wheat Ridge Ministries staff will review the concept papers and invite a limited number of projects to submit a full proposal for further consideration.

  5. Submit a Full Proposal. If invited, a full grant proposal will need to be submitted by the deadline in the schedule below. The Major Grant Full Proposal Format will be provided to you.

  6. Review of Full Proposals and Grants Awarded. The Wheat Ridge Ministries staff and the Grant Review Council will review the full proposals. Grants will be awarded by the date listed in the schedule below.
