The Healthy Teams Workshop overviews eight components that contribute to the development of healthy teams and gives special attention to two of these components (see * below). The remaining six have each been developed into a 1-1/4 hour experience which can be sent to a team for use once a month for the next six months. Please note: There is a $60 charge for these materials.
These experiences in team building have been formatted for self-facilitation. The learning objectives for each of the components are noted below.
ACCOUNTABILITY
• Team members will gain greater clarity regarding to whom they are accountable and how that accountability should manifest itself.
• Team members will hold each other accountable for productivity and team process.
CHARTER *
• Teams will understand the importance of knowing their reason for existence.
• Teams will have a process for achieving that clarification and keeping it alive.
DECISION MAKING
• Teams will explore the various approaches to reaching decisions.
• Teams will intentionally select approaches which are appropriate for the issue being addressed.
FEEDBACK*
• Team members will learn the "what" and "how" of effective feedback.
• Teams will commit to practicing and utilizing effective feedback.
NORMS
• Teams will recognize the importance norms play in developing trust, openness and productivity.
• Teams will commit to articulating their norms and holding themselves accountable to those norms.
ROLE DEFINITION
• Team members will understand the role each member plays and appreciate the contribution each role makes in pursuing the team's charter.
SPIRITUAL RENEWAL
• Teams will define the core elements of their own spiritual renewal and design the processes needed to pursue their renewal.
SYNERGY
• Teams will explore the dynamic potential of interpersonal relations and common tasks.
