Conflict & Change Management Toolbox

Congregational health is a key factor in having the energy to be outwardly focused and to create and maintain new ministries. Two factors that affect the health of a congregation are conflict and dealing with change. This Conflict and Change Management Toolbox is meant to address conflict and manage changes that may be present in your congregation.

A recent article by Les Stroh of Cornerstone Consulting entitled, "Are we structured for conflict? How can we build community?" in the January 2009 issue of The Lutheran Church – Missouri Synod’s President's Leadership News touches on this issue.  Stroh states, "We have people ready to 'resolve' conflict but practically none in place to help congregations learn to 'manage' conflict." Wheat Ridge Ministries' Conflict and Change Management Toolbox is set up to address this very issue.

Coaching Services

Coaching services are available to assist congregational leaders in determining the nature and level of the conflict they are experiencing and the impact it is having on congregational health. The coaching would also assist leaders in determining what next steps are most appropriate in managing the conflict and nurturing congregational health.

The coaching services are offered by Wheat Ridge Ministries Staff Associate Rev. Tim Fangmeier. He can be reached at 704.641.5811 or by email at tim@giftedpeople.org. All coaching is done by phone and the understanding is that calls are placed by the congregation at their expense.
